Read This If You Own A Nokia Android SmartPhone

It’s no longer news that Nokia has returned back to the smartphone business and this time, they took the right direction by manufacturing smartphones that run on the most popular mobile operating system, Android.

Let me also remind you of the trending Nokia Android powered smartphones before telling you what will excite you. The Nokia Android powered smartphones are the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the Nokia 8 which is the most recent.

The Nokia devices all come baked in an almost stock Android UI and run on the Android 7.1 Nougat which was the latest as at the time of their release.

The recent Nokia-branded phones from HMD Global have been pretty popular. The goal of a near-stock Android ROM with quick updates has also caused Android enthusiasts to take notice, especially as many budget phones don’t receive major updates at all or usually get it when it’s too late.

Like Apple devices that always get updated to the most recent iOS versions, apart from a few, Nokia has something interesting for all it’s users.

HMD Global has now confirmed that all of the company’s Nokia-branded Android smartphones will be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update going ahead.

In a tweet posted on Saturday, Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, said,

“All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included. No comments yet on timing so that I don’t get into trouble”

Doesn’t this sound interesting?

Now all the Nokia owners, especially the budget Nokia 3 users will be happy to get the latest Android 8 Oreo update, as soon as possible. Although the timeline hasn’t been released, just get ready for an upgrade.
