After its launch, it became so popular and hot especially for those who can’t afford the C8 or wouldn’t be comfortable with a 5.5-inch screen size.
The two have the same RAM size(1GB) and ROM(16gb). Tecno Camon C5 features a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor running on MT6735 MediaTek chipset with Mali T760 GPU.
The Tecno Camon C8 also has a 1.3GHz MT6735 MediaTek chipset with a smaller difference in the GPU, with it having a Mali T720 GPU.
With all these, I still wonder why Tecno Mobile hasn’t remembered their first 4G smartphone like they did to the Camon C8 by providing a Marshmallow update for it.
The Camon C8 update came after a lot of promises and complaints from it users. Is it that users of the Camon C5 are satisfied with the android 5.1 they are using? Wouldn’t they like a touch of HioS and Android 6.0 Marshmallow on their lovely Camon C5?
Around my area, most people prefer the Camon C5 to the C8 with each person having a different reason for his/her choice.
Tecno’s facebook page and Instagram is so hot with news and adverts of the Camon C8, Boom J8, L8, L8 plus, W4, DroidPad 7C pro and other stuff.
Since they have started updating their phones starting from C8, why not continue and also remember the Camon C5.
When I got the Tecno Camon C5, I was surprised when I heard about the update for Camon C8 because C5 wasn’t included.
I just had to get the Infinix Hot 2 2GB RAM version as a replacement because I was sure of getting steady updates. Users complained bitterly about Tecno’s poor software maintenance starting from the C8 because it was really popular.
Now they have started producing phones every second without even thinking about where they started. Must users shout, cry and complain all the time before Tecno will do the right thing.
It’s not all about producing new phones every week, it’s all about maintaining them as time goes on. That’s why there are called smartphones.
Since the Camon C5 is still hot and readily available to purchase, I really think the Camon C5 deserves a touch of HioS and Android 6.0. It’s worth it in every aspect unless there’s something it’s missing which Tecno Mobile should and can explain(if any).
Do you think the Tecno Camon C5 will ever get a SW upgrade to Marshmallow?
